As part of a contract to provide Businesses Transformation Services, the GAPRO Team have worked with the Board and senior leadership teams of a major infrastructure business to identify opportunities for enhancement of core Project and Programme Management capabilities. The GAPRO team worked with the business to identify skills and training, process and operational improvements to the Programme and Project Management capability across the organisation. Engaging all levels of the team, a structured improvement programme was developed and rolled out to enhance this core capability for a blue chip Rail and Power capital infrastructure services provider. GAPRO have successfully worked with a Columbian EPC contractor and a European generating equipment provider to plan a new 60 MW power plant for Columbia. Working with teams in Columbia and Europe, GAPRO were able to draw upon experience of managing complex plant logistics and construction to significantly rationalize and shorten the overall programme timescales to meet the end user requirements. Using the latest video conferencing technology to bring teams from Columbia, the United States, Europe and India together the GAPRO team were able to successfully facilitate effective collaborative workshops efficiently, significantly reducing the need for extensive travel. “We are pleased to be able to use our unique skills and experience to work with cross-cultural teams across the world to once again successfully develop a plan for a multi-million pound capital programme in a remote location”, comments Manging Director, Gavin Armstrong.
Working with a world renowned high value capital equipment manufacturer, the GAPRO team were asked to establish and run a supplier selection process for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of several multi MW power plants across the UK. Drawing upon decades of experience of procurement of high value capital equipment, the GAPRO team were able to lead the process from initial expressions of interest through to down selection of suppliers in short timescales to support a substantial programme of works to provide power plant for Independent Power Providers in the UK market.

As part of a contract to provide Programme Delivery Improvement Leadership Services the GAPRO team have successfully assisted a European power plant equipment manufacturer deliver their largest single power plant into a developing country in the Far East in their shortest ever timescale.
